  • What happens next after the job offer is confirmed and how many more months before an applicant is granted a working visa?
A copy of the Confirmed Offer of Employment is then sent to a CIC office overseas (applicants country of residence) and we in turn send a copy of all the documents to the applicant for visa application. It takes at least 4 months waiting period after submission of requirements to the CIC office before a decision is made by the visa office. If there are problems with the medical exam, it could take longer. On average, it takes at least 8 to 10 months for the whole process before the applicant is issued a working visa or permit.
